OBJECTIVE
The objective of the Cosmetology Course is to prepare the student for a successful and rewarding career as a licensed cosmetologist. As a result of the 1500 clock hours of theory and practical training the student should gain the knowledge, skill and ability to competently:
a. Pass the state-licensing exam
b. Protect the health and safety of the patron consumer
c. Solve the consumer's hair, nail, and skin problems
d. Exhibit artistic ability in hair design
e. Recognize the need for and be motivated to keep abreast of the latest trends and
techniques

c. Develop lesson plans for teaching the art and science of cosmetology
d. Teach both theory and practice classes
